Deep Sea Supply’s newbuilding in Brazil was launched Monday
14 November 2011 at STX OSV Niterol in Brazil.
The Shipyard prepared a very nice setting for the invited guests and employees of the Shipyard. Invited guests were the Godmother, Maria Chambriard, all employees of Deep Sea Supply’s Brazil office including spouses and children, colleagues from Singapore and Norway and invited guests from Brazilian shipping and offshore community.
Following speeches from Miro A. Filho (President STX OSV), Finn Amund Norbye, Dante Carvalho and the Godmother and a blessing from the priest, the champagne bottle hit the vessel and she was launched accompanied with fireworks and balloons. Perfect timing and quite a spectacular sight!
The vessel is expected to be delivered from yard in 1st Quarter 2012.
